Watch Sabrina Carpenter Arrest Anne Hathaway During ‘Juno’ at MSG Show

The actress traveled from Genovia to Madison Square Garden, but violated international law by being too beautiful, leaving Carpenter with no choice but to arrest her during “Juno”
Anne Hathaway made the trek all the way from Genovia to see Sabrina Carpenter kick off her five-night run at Madison Square Garden in New York. Itâs unclear how international law works for fictional countries, but the actress must have been in violation of some rule â so itâs only fitting that Carpenter arrested her during âJuno.â
âItâs a crime to be this gorgeous. I just donât know what to do when I see a face like this,â Carpenter said from onstage at the Oct. 26 show. When Hathaway told the singer sheâs from Genovia, she responded, âHas anyone ever told you you look like a princess? Iâm getting so flustered. Anne, can I arrest you for being the most perfect princess in the world?â
Carpenter handed Hathaway her fuzzy pink handcuffs and announced, âThis oneâs for Anne, everybody.â She joins recent arrestees Gigi Hadid, Joe Keery, and Olivia Dean, who were all arrested at past shows.
The extended edition of the Short nâ Sweet tour will continue on Tuesday, Oct. 28 with another show at Madison Square Garden. The singer will be stationed in NYC all week, with additional shows scheduled on Oct. 29 and 31, as well as Nov. 1.
Meanwhile, Hathaway is in fashion mode as she steps back into the role of Andy Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada 2, now in production. Sheâs been taking a few pages out of Carpenterâs pop playbook, too. Earlier this year, Hathaway went into the studio with the singerâs close collaborator, Jack Antonoff, to cut songs for David Loweryâs upcoming film Mother Mary.
âI had to submit to being a beginner,â Hathaway told Vogue about finding her singing voice for the titular role. âThe humility of thatâshowing up every day knowing youâre going to suck. And it has to be okay. Youâre not âbad.â Youâre just a beginner. Getting to that mindsetâI had to shed some things that were hard to shed. It was welcome.â
