Ariana Grande Teases Upcoming ‘Eternal Sunshine’ Tour

Ariana Grande offered an update on her highly-anticipated Eternal Sunshine tour while attending the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday night.
āIāve been working on the set list for months now,ā she told E! News on the red carpet outside the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles. āItās in a good place, but weāll never know until we get into the rehearsalsāwhich are starting very soonāand we put things on their feet if itāll make sense or not.ā
When asked if she could share any details, Grande played it coy. āI want to let it be a surprise,ā she said.
The outlet also asked Grande if she feels like sheās a different person while on tour. āI think itās the same person,ā she responded. āI am grateful to work and Iām excited for the tour.ā
Grandeās tour kicks off next June with two dates in Oakland, California, before moving to Los Angeles (both the Crypto.com Arena and Kia Forum). The singer will also perform in Austin; Grandeās native Sunrise, Florida, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Boston, and Montreal. Sheāll conclude the U.S. run with two nights at Chicagoās United Center on Aug. 3 and 5. The trek will then jump the Atlantic for five nights at Londonās O2 Arena.
Similar to 2019āsĀ SweetenerĀ world tour, the newly announced slate of performances will span two albums:Ā Eternal SunshineĀ andĀ Positions, the R&B opus Grande released in late 2020.Ā āI think that I was buying myself time ā I didnāt want to do that,ā she told theĀ Zach Sang ShowĀ earlier this year, referring to the idea of taking two albums on the road again. āI was like, yeah, and then the album will never happen, and then the tour will never ā no, no, no. Iām kidding.ā
In November, Grande confirmed she has no plans for another tour in the foreseeable future. āThe last 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up,ā she said in an interview on Amy Poehlerās Good Hang podcast. āI donāt want to say anything definitive.ā
She continued, āI do know that Iām very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long, long time. Iām going to give it my all and itās going to be beautiful. I think thatās why Iām doing it because Iām like, āOne last hurrah!āā
A couple of months after the tour wraps, the long awaited fourth movie in theĀ Meet the ParentsĀ franchise āĀ Focker In-LawĀ ā will hit theaters. Grande stars in the film alongside returning cast members Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, and Teri Polo.
