Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo Star

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo face off, and team up, in the final trailer for Wicked: For Good, which is set to arrive in theaters Nov. 21.

The massive three-minute clip offers a comprehensive overview of what fans can expect in the highly anticipated sequel. It starts with Grande’s Glinda Upland assuming the mantle of Glinda the Good — and really enjoying her new floating bubble — while Erivo’s Elphaba Thropp has been cast out from Oz and denounced as the Wicked Witch of the West. 

When the two frenemies meet early on in the clip, Glinda asserts, “I’m a public figure now, people expect me to—”

“Fly?” Elphaba interrupts.

“Be encouraging.” 

Later in the trailer, the pair looks to find some common ground and contend with the chaos that engulfs Oz following the sudden arrival of Dorothy Gale from the far-off land of Kansas. There is, of course, plenty of music in the trailer, too, with the clip featuring snippets of Act Two showstoppers like “No Good Deed” and “For Good.” 

Along with Grande and Erivo, Wicked: For Good will star Jonathan Bailey as Prince Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard. The rest of the cast includes Marissa Bode, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, and Bronwyn James. 

Wicked: For Good will also feature two new songs written for the film by the musical’s original composer, Stephen Schwartz. In a recent interview, director Jon Chu offered a few details about the songs, saying, “They’re questioning, ‘What is home? And what happens when you are fighting for a home that you realize doesn’t even want you there, or was never meant for you? Do you defend it? Do you fight for it? Does anyone else think of home the same as you?’”
