Mark Zuckerberg and T-Pain Share ‘Get Low’ Acoustic Collaboration

The tech mogul dedicated the cover to his wife because nothing says “I love you” quite like “three-six-nine, damn, you’re fine, hoping you can sock it to me, baby, one more time”
Mark Zuckerberg generally seems to be one of the more normal modern-day tech giants or at least one that comes off as less of a cartoonish villain (thatâs how truly low the bar is). He isnât trying to co-run any governmental departments and didnât inadvertently cause a quarter of a million people to cancel their newspaper subscriptions. Instead, at least for the moment, the META founder has his focus set on performing grand romantic gestures for his wife â like the acoustic cover of Lil Jonâs âGet Lowâ that he recorded with T-Pain.
Zuckerberg cut the cover in honor of his wife, Priscilla Chan. ââGet Lowâ was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party, so every year we listen to it on our dating anniversary,â he wrote on Instagram. âThis year, I worked with @tpain on our own version of this lyrical masterpiece.â Nothing says âI love youâ quite like âThree-six-nine, damn, youâre fine/Hoping you can sock it to me, baby, one more time.â
Zuckerbergâs singing voice on the Z-Pain version of âGet Lowâ sounds eerily similar to Owl City, almost like he would not believe his eyes if 10 million fireflies lit up the world as he fell asleep. T-Painâs performance on the other hand, smooth and understated, isnât as surprising. Last year, he released a covers album that took on classics from Frank Sinatra, Sam Smith, Sam Cooke, and more.
Chan celebrated the cover in the comments beneath Zuckerbergâs post, writing: âCanât get quite as low anymore but more in love and grateful for that love than ever. Love you MZ.â In the album artwork, T-Pain is pictured posing beside Zuckerberg while holding up an acoustic guitar. If not for the backstory, his own âGet Lowâ equivalent â the Flo Rida-led hit âLowâ about Apple Bottom jeans and boots with the fur â would have been a fitting romantic serenade, too. âHappy anniversary,â the musician commented. âThanks for letting me be a part of this.â
