Luis R Conriquez, Los Esquivel Link Up for ‘Pari Pari’: Listen

Sebastian and Eugenio Esquivel call the collab a “big moment” for the EDM-corrido pioneers
Los Esquivel and Luis R Conriquez are ready for the afterparty. On Thursday, the Esquivel brothers and the Conriquez premiered their genre-merging collaboration “Pari Pari” with Rolling Stone.
The Carlos Curiel-directed video captures the trio of musicians singing at a day party filled with skateboarders, endless drinks, and a baby monkey as the guys paint a picture of desmadre (and girls) at an afterparty. On the upbeat song, Eugenio and Sebastian Esquivel combine the electro-corrido sound they introduced last year on their hit “AlucĂn” with Conriquez’s heavier bĂ©lico sound.
“It’s not just about making music. We want to continue leading the electro-corrido genre,” Sebastián tells Rolling Stone. “Having Luis R Conriquez on this song shows that other artists recognize what we’re doing. It’s a big moment for us.”
“We’re mixing the Mexican sounds we grew up with and adding modern electronic vibes to reach the new generation,” adds Eugenio. “Having my compa Luis R on this track makes it even better.”
“Pari Pari” with Conriquez continues Los Esquivel’s breakthrough year, following the release of “AlucĂn” in late November. To date, the single has more than 232 million streams on Spotify. The siblings have built a loyal following on social media have pioneered a new mix of house and EDM with classic Mexican music sonics.
Most recently, Los Esquivel linked up with Dani Flow and Uzielito on “Electro Morbo” in July and with Kevin AMF on “Hasta El QLO.” In May, the bros released an EP Alucina2, surrounding their breakthrough “Alucin.” The project featured corridos tumbados, norteño sounds, and mariachi versions of the hit.
As for Conriquez, the bélico star joined Alex Torres on “Por Si Se Les Olvidaba” and “Paz en Este Amor” with Fidel Rueda last month. (His collaboration-filled album Corridos Bélicos, Vol IV dropped in January.)
