Wednesday Is ‘Hinting At’ Wednesday, Tyler’s Romantic Reconciliation

Wednesday fans have wondered whether the show was hinting at Wednesday and Tylerâs romantic reconciliation â and they arenât the only ones.
During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly at the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride event on Friday, September 26, Isaac Ordonez weighed in on the chances of Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) and Tyler (Hunter Doohan) giving their relationship another try.
âI think they might be hinting at it,â Ordonez, who plays Pugsley on the hit Netflix series, noted. âI donât know what [show creators] Alfred [Gough] and Miles [Millar] are cooking up but just from what Iâve seen â it could be possible.â
After having a front-row seat to Wednesday and Tylerâs charged moments in season 2, Ordonez saw what the fan fuss is all about, adding, âShe fell in love with the monster within him. I think they sort of are [a good match.] I could see it.â
Wednesday has danced around the idea of the main character getting back together with her ex ever since their split. Season 1 introduced Tyler and Wednesday as a couple before they turned into enemies with undeniable chemistry.
Season 2, which concluded in September, featured several moments that made many of Us question Wednesdayâs claims she wasnât interested in Tyler. Her decision to free Tyler in the finale instead of killing him off left the door wide open for the fan-favorite couple.

âTo him, Tyler thought his whole life that his mom had just died, and then he finds out she died because she was a Hyde and that had been hidden from him. Then Laurel obviously comes in and grooms him and blames the outcasts for his momâs death. Then he finally understands why his dad hates him because, for Tyler, he always wanted his dadâs love and didnât understand why he treated him the way he did,â Doohan exclusively told Us in August about his characterâs mindset. âSo Wednesday felt like maybe the one person who â because sheâs Wednesday Addams â wouldnât be afraid of him and hate him for those parts of himself and might actually embrace it.â
Doohan didnât rule out a romantic story line before returning to film season 3. âCan anyone be too dark for Wednesday Addams?â he quipped to Us at the time.
In addition to Wednesday and Tylerâs arcs, Wednesday has also started to invest more time in Ordonezâs character.
âIâm amazed to see how well received it is again, for the second season,â the actor told Us. âIâm super hyped [for season 3]. I donât know whatâs in store for Pugsley but I imagine they have quite a bit.â
Ordonez said it has been a blast filming with the cast.
âWeâre all like a real family. We have that bond. And [director] Tim [Burton] is just â heâs Tim Burton. Heâs such an amazing director. Itâs so crazy. Sometimes I look at him, I see the passion in his eyes and I see the vision forming in his head,â he continued. âOff set heâs a super, super chill guy. But once heâs on set, he is focused. He wants his vision. He has an idea of how he wants everything.â
Wednesday has been renewed for season 3 and is currently streaming on Netflix.
