Millie Bobby Brown Gives Tearful Goodbye to ‘Stranger Things’ Crew

“I am nowhere near ready to leave you guys,” the actress said in a farewell speech
Millie Bobby Brown gave an emotional farewell speech to the Stranger Things crew as the show wrapped production for its fifth and final season.
The actress shared a video of her speech on social media Friday, comparing the finals days to a graduation as she fought through tears saying goodbye.
“Isn’t graduation supposed to bring relief, like you’re glad to leave the teachers and classmates?” she asked. “Not me, I am nowhere near ready to leave you guys. I love each and every one of you and I’ll forever carry the memories and bonds we’ve created together as a family. I love you, thank you.”
Netflix announced on Friday that Season Five had wrapped production, confirming the show would release sometime in 2025. Stranger Things served as Brown’s breakout role since she started playing the telepathic girl Eleven back in 2016, turning her into a global star. The final season has been one of the most hotly-anticipated shows for years, starting production at the beginning of the year after facing delays from the writers and actors strikes last year.
With the show on for much of the past decade, the making of the final season has been an emotional process for much of the cast and crew. David Harbour recalled an emotional table read for the show’s final episode.
“I think part of that also is the fact that these kids, it was their childhood,” Harbour said. “It’s 10 years later, and we examine that idea, and it’s so well done and so beautiful.”
