She said yes… again!
The Bachelor’s Zach Shallcross popped the question to Kaity Biggar for the second time on their second anniversary.
Sharing photos of a romantic yacht trip via her Instagram, Biggar, 30, announced the happy news on Friday, November 22.
“How lucky am I to get to say ‘yes’ to you twice! 💍🤍” she captioned the post, which featured photos of Biggar flashing her engagement ring, the couple toasting with champagne and the pair cozying up to one another on the boat.
Fans flocked to the comments to send well wishes to the loved-up couple.
“Omg sooo cute!! Love the idea of a “re-proposal”, private for the two of you!🩷,” wrote one follower, while another added, “Well done Zach!! Yay second engagements!!!!”
However, some questioned the need for or reason behind the second proposal, with one writing, “So umm getting engaged twice why is this necessary?”
Shallcross, 28, who chose Biggar on The Bachelor’s season 27, which filmed in 2022 and aired in 2023, first got down on one knee in the March 2023 finale.
“I can no longer say I’m falling in love with you, because, Kaity Lane, I am so in love with you. You are my world,” Shallcross told Kaity in the romantic scene. “The love I feel for you is something I could’ve never imagined and something I thought a lot of my life I would never be able to deserve. I love you so much. I love you with all my heart. You’re the face I want to wake up to every morning. I want to go through life with you and only you. Kaity, I want to be with you forever. … You’re the only one I want in my life. … Kaity, will you marry me?”
The feeling was mutual for Biggar, who gushed over Shallcross in return as she accepted his proposal.
“I didn’t think it could be me, that I could experience a big love, a love that you only read about in books, that you only see in movies,” Biggar said. “I built my walls up so high that I couldn’t see past them, and then you stepped into my life and, Zach, every moment that I spent with you, my walls came tumbling down. … I’m so in love with you. I’m so crazy about you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
The couple moved in together in January 2024 and while they initially planned to tie the knot in 2025, Biggar recently shared they are taking their time with their wedding plans.
“First off, wedding update. So we had a wedding venue, everything, and we actually just didn’t sign it. So we are floating the boat ourselves on this wedding and having a wedding projected to cost $70K coming out of our pockets is just absolutely insane and not gonna happen,” Biggar shared via TikTok in early November.
“At this point Zach and I are just gonna reevaluate things, take a step back,” she added. “Obviously we want to marry each other. We just want the best venue for the right price tag, as we all do. We also have the rest of our lives together, so it’s like, why are we rushing into anything? We’re just taking it day by day and loving being with each other and building our relationship more and more.”
